FAQs
Electrical questions, answered.
- How long does an EICR take?
- A standard one or two-bed flat takes 2–3 hours. Three-bed houses around 3–4 hours. We schedule them to minimise tenant disruption and always email the report within 24 hours.
- What does 'unsatisfactory' on an EICR actually mean?
- It means one or more C1, C2 or FI codes were observed. C3 codes alone do not make a report unsatisfactory. We provide a free remedial quote alongside every unsatisfactory report so landlords can meet the 28-day deadline.
- Do you install EV chargers?
- Yes — we're OZEV-approved installers for all major brands (Pod Point, Ohme, Wallbox, Zappi, Andersen). Includes load-balancing assessment and grant paperwork where eligible.
- Will you switch the power off?
- Only the circuit being worked on. We use isolation and lock-off procedures so fridges, freezers and Wi-Fi routers stay running wherever possible.
- Are your electricians Part P competent?
- Yes. Every electrician is NICEIC-registered, Part P competent and qualified to 18th Edition. We notify building control on all relevant works as a matter of course.
